State Partisan Leans

Below is a map of each U.S. state and how we would expect it to vote in a future election in which the national popular vote is tied. It’s important to note that this is not a measure of how liberal or conservative each state is. It’s purely a mathematical comparison at the national level. For example, if the Democratic or Republican nominee were to win by four points nationally in the next election, you should shift each state by that amount to find out how each would be expected to vote.
