BallotCast was officially launched in early 2024 with the goal of providing independent, unbiased, and nonpartisan election predictions for the imminent presidential election. The success we had when the initial presidential predictions were released allowed us to develop additional forecasts for the Senate, House, and gubernatorial elections. In the end, we created 536 individual forecasts and 3 comprehensive predictions, all with individual analysis and explanations. Our final outcome was a 96.6% accuracy rate, surpassing all expectations.
As we head into the 2025 off-year elections and the 2026 midterms, BallotCast will continue to provide election predictions. Once the nominees are selected for the gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia, our live forecast will be put back online, and in the first few months of 2026, we will begin our midterm predictions, which will include at least 506 individual forecasts.
